I dislike walking around Pearlridge. I always feel under-dressed and awkward. All these little kids go around dressed up like they’re doing something important, and I’m there in shorts, a plain shirt, and shoes. I think the only time I don’t really feel so awkward at Pearlridge nowadays is when I’m with the paddlers. They just give off that vibe of who gives a fuck, and I kind of get sucked into it, too. I wish I could feel so confident independently.
